Wish they had a recipe tab on top but figured we could start sharing our favorite recipes in a thread. Here are just a few of my family favorites :)
Shrimp & Potato Soup
1/2 stick of butter
1 diced onion
2 diced carrots
2 tbsp flour
8 potatoes, peeled and diced
4 c milk
2 chicken bouillon
1 c half and half
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 c water
1 lbs shrimp
Crumbled cooked bacon
chedder cheese
Melt butter and saute onions and carrots. Whisk in flour. Add diced potatoes and milk. Add bouillon (dissolved in 1/2 c hot milk). Add half and half, salt and pepper. Cook shrimp in salted water while potatoes cook. Then add the cooked shirimp to the softened potato mixture and let simmer briefly. Plate and garnish with cheese and bacon.
Chicken Alfredo
1 garlic clove
1 c milk
8 oz sourcream
1/2 c butter
1 c parmesan cheese
Simmer garlic in tbsp olive oil. Add milk, butter and sour cream. Mix until smooth. Stir in parmesan and pepper to taste. Add 1-2 tbsp of flour to thicken. Serve with grilled diced chicken.
Crockpot Beef Stew
2lbs stewmeat
4 c potatoes, cubed
1 large onion, diced
6 med carrots, peeled and diced
1 (12oz) jar of beef gravy
2 large tomatoes, diced
2/3 c frozen peas
Combine all ingredients except peas in crockpot. Cook on low 8 hours or so. Stir in peas and cook for an additional 10 minutes
Twice Bakes Potatoes
3-4 russet potatoes
3 tbsp butter
1/4-1/2 c sour cream
Dash of milk
1 c shredded chedder cheese
Tastefully Simple Bacon Bacon
Soften potatoes on microwave for 8-10 minutes. Spoon out cooked middle leaving skins on a baking sheet. Mix potatoe filling, butter, sour cream, milk, bacon and cheese. Fill skins and top with more cheese. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. *measurements are an estimate. Could be mroe depending on your liking.
Crockpot Pepper Porkchops
5-6 boneless pork chops
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of mushroom
1/2 c milk
1/4 c parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2-3 minced garlic
Season and brown chops 2 minutes each side. Mix all other ingredients and pour over chops in the crockpot. Cook on high for 3-4 hours. Serve over rice
Stuffed Mushrooms
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 lbs bacon, cooked and crumbled (crispy)
20-30 large mushrooms
Remove stems and wipe clean. Mix cream cheese and bacon. Spoon mixture into mushroom tops and place on a baking sheet with 2-3 tbsp of water on bottom (prevent sticking). Cook at 325 for aprox 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

16 oz cream cheese, softened
1 lbs bacon, cooked and crumbled (crispy)
20-30 large mushrooms
Remove stems and wipe clean. Mix cream cheese and bacon. Spoon mixture into mushroom tops and place on a baking sheet with 2-3 tbsp of water on bottom (prevent sticking). Cook at 325 for aprox 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
I like to make these pretty much the same way but instead of bacon I use spicy sausage and chop up green onion. Its so good!

Beautiful Banana Bread
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 large bananas, mashed (the riper, the better!)
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
Makes one standard size loaf (12 slices).
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs and bananas.
3. Add flour, baking soda and nutmeg.
4. Mix well.
5. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
200 Calories, 5 Grams of fat per serving
Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken (4 servings)
4 tsp unpacked Brown Sugar
12 oz. chicken breast, no skin
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp salted butter
1 tsp salt
1 dash pepper
1. Melt butter in a frying pan
2. Brown the garlic in the butter
3. Add chicken breasts to garlic and butter and cook thoroughly, adding salt and pepper as you like it.
4. When chicken is fully cooked add brown sugar on top of each breast.
5. Allow brown sugar to melt into chicken (about 5 minutes).
6. Serve with your favorite carb and veggie, or salad. (I usually pair this with sweet potatoes and green beans.)
157 Calories, 7 grams of fat per serving
Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini (6 servings)
7 ounces spaghetti
2 cups chicken or turkey broth
2 cups half and half or milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cut-up cooked chicken or turkey
1 cup sliced ripe olives
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cook and drain spaghetti as directed on package.
3. Mix broth, half and half (or milk), flour, butter, salt, and pepper in 3 quart saucepan.
4. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stiffing constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute.
5. Stir in spaghetti, turkey or chicken, olives, and almonds. Spread in 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with cheese.
6. Bake uncovered 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
I usually leave out the olives and almonds, but it's still super tasty! Not the healthiest recipe, though.
Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup
1 store-bought roasted chicken- shredded
1 cup diced onions
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced carrot
4 (14-ounce) cans low-sodium chicken broth
2 (10.75-ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 tsp-parsley & thyme
Salt and pepper
2 cups egg noodles, cooked
In a large pan (like you would boil spaghetti in) combine chicken broth, mushroom soup, veggies, shredded chicken, parsley and thyme. Bring to boil and reduced to a simmer. Cook until veggies are tender.
When veggies are tender add noodles for approximatley 10-15 min or until done.
You can also use cream of mushroom soup with garlic, or if you dont like mushroom soup you can use cream of chicken or celery =] Enjoy!
Mini Cheesecakes (12 servings)
12 vanilla wafers
3 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
12 oz. fat free cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
cherry pie filling
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin tins with 12 cupcake papers. Place a vanilla wafer in the bottom of each cupcake paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and fat-free cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla and beat well. Add eggs and beat until smooth (I recommend using a mixer).
3. Pour cheesecake mixture into muffin tins. Bake for 20 minutes or until centers are almost set. Cool. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
4. Decorate cheesecake tops with cherry pie filling (optional).
12 servings. 121 calories, 4.5 grams of fat per serving.
Cheese Garlic Biscuits (Like Red Lobster)
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 cups self-rising flour + a little more
4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese
Pam cooking spray
garlic salt
1. Beat the first 4 ingredients together at medium speed until just moistened.
2. Work in 2-4 more tablespoons of flour until dough is thick enough to drop from spoon.
3. Add sharp cheddar cheese into this mixture.
4. Drop by spoonfuls, one inch apart on Pam sprayed baking sheet. Spray top with Pam.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
6. Take out of over, spray tops with Pam again and dust with garlic salt.
Makes 10-12 biscuits.

Me too. I watched the biography on them and I think one of the first times they did a cooking show they did it with Paula Deen - THAT was a trip lol. The 3 of them cooking together???? Oh my goodness - some butter and bacon cooking fools lol.
Underground Banana Bread
Ingredients:
2 Laughing Eyes
2 Loving Arms
2 Well Shaped Legs
2 Firm Milk Containers
1 Fur Lined Mixing Bowl
2 Large Nuts
1 Large Banana
Directions:
1. Look into Loving Eyes. 2. Fold in Loving Arms. 3. Spread Well Shaped Legs. 4. Squeeze and massage Milk Containers gently until Fur Lined Mixing Bowl is well greased. Check frequently with middle finger. 5. Add Banana - work in and out until well creamed. 6. Cover with Nuts and sigh with relief. Cake done when Banana becomes soft. Be sure to wash mixing utensils and don't lick the bowl.
Note: If cake begins to rise leave town immediately.

If you want a really good and simple italian meatball try this.
Mix half hamburger half sausage
dry basil
dry oregano
dry thyme
shredded parm cheese
egg
and for extra ymmmy saute some garlic and put it in
roll the meat balls and you can either fry in a pan rolling on occasion or lay them all in a baking dish on 350 for about 20 min
Popcorn Turkey Dressing
2 cups bread crumbs
3/4 cups water
1 cup unpopped popcorn
1/2 t. salt - 1/2 t peppercorns
3/4 c onions - 1 c celery
sage to taste
Stuff and bake at 345 degrees.
Done when popcorn blows the a** off turkey.
Cheesy Chicken Chowder
Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
2 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) Campbell's® Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
2 soup cans milk
1 1/2 cups Pace® Picante Sauce
1 medium green or red pepper, finely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
4 green onions, sliced (about 1/2 cup)
3 cup cubed cooked chicken
Sour cream
Directions:
Heat the soup, milk, picante sauce, pepper and onions in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir the chicken in the skillet and cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling. Serve with the sour cream.
*Although I didnt add sour cream, I put over pasta. It was good.
