You can go get your car washed this morning until Noon at the Break & Run Bar on Hwy 62 - the 29 Palms High School Junior Class is trying to raise some $$$ for their class. :)

The Women's Fellowship of Desert Congregational is having their bi-annual rummage and bake sale 8am-4pm TODAY (Friday) and Saturday.

The Church is located at Two Mile Road and Sunrise.

Folks have been working all week to clean, place, and price everything - it's a GREAT sale every time.

There is furniture, dishes, linens, household items, books, wall hangings, clothes, collectibles, and lots more! 

There's a super cool concert coming up in the Indian Cove Amphitheater part of JTNP on June 1 at 7pm. Tickets are $40.

Tomorrow is the 29 Palms Street Fair and Car Show in beautiful downtown 29 Palms Saturday, June 2nd from 4 - 9 pm!! Reach Out Morongo Basin will be having a "Bash 4 Cash" with a car donated by B&B Auto!!! Pay a dollar and get to beat up a car! We will also be having a bean bag toss for kids! Lots of vendors, music and of course...awesome cars to look at! A fun evening in the desert for the whole family!!

In 100 degree weather. OMG! Drink lots of water people!! 

It was pretty flipping hot but we had lots of water and ice. Reach Out MB made $433!!! Total profit since the bashed car was donated from B&B Salvage.

And check this out...our booth was right next to the FIREMEN!!!! *swoon* ;)

Reach Out Morongo Basin will host the opening night of "The Memory Jar," tonight Friday June 8, 2012!!!


Doors open at 6 pm, and show starts at 7 pm. Hors d'oeuvres, and refreshments will be served before the show, with dessert at intermission.

Tickets can be purchased TODAY for opening night from the Reach Out office or from the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce office.

A silent auction will be held with items by local artists Tami Roleff and Kim Mayhew, gift packs and certificates from Joni Daniel with Stampin' Up and Natural Lives Day Spa as well as other great items!

"The Memory Jar" is part of the "Original Play" series, featuring works written and directed by Twentynine Palms residents. The play will show for a limited run on June 8-10 and 15-17, at 7pm. Featuring a wonderful cast including Tom Highfill, Marty Neider, Sue Kelly and other local talents, the story takes us back to Deseret Valley to visit the Barrett Family- recent arrivals to the home of Lake Sometimes.
"The Memory Jar" is written by Schauppner, editor of the Desert Trail Newspaper, and attorney Josh Lazar. The play was selected for the special series by the Theatre 29 Board of Directors after reviewing their original plays submitted for the 2012 season.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, Desert Trail office in 29 Palms or on the night of the show.
