I read about this and I'm super scared for our troops out there! Especially when my DH is out there right now! =( Prayers that it doesn't get really bad.
Pray for this man's family...especially his children :(
I won't pray for them but I do wish them the best of luck. If the media releases the info on this guy then that I think may put the family in danger. Although, what do they care right? It's not their family they are putting in danger.
I might get bashed for thinking this way but I can't disagree with what this soldier did. All the BS that our military men and women go through , all the families who lost their loved ones is just not fair. Yeah it sucks that they were children and women but these children are the future terrorists and women are just giving birth to more and more. How else will you get rid of terrorists? Killing them one by one is not going to get rid of them. At first I was mad about what this soldier did but after giving it a deep thought this is what I think about them now. If you guys and gals disagree with me , it's cool :)

Dunno, but that is what the terrorists think of us and the reason we keep going around in this circle. "We should kill them before they kill us." How in the heck do you know what a 2 year old is going to grow up to be? How do you know that mother was a terrorist?
Oh and many of us have family/loved ones/friends that have been there many times or have been lost. I almost lost my husband. But I will NEVER agree to killing someone because they happen to live there. That would make me no better than the ones that want to kill us just because we are American.
Just because you were born in that area, does not mean you are a terrorist. There are plenty of Americans that are terrorists that prove that point.
That is just my opinion and opinions of other Marine's and so on. Until you are in the military and go through what we have gone through , you will never understand. Just because your spouse is in the Marine's and tells you stuff , doesn't mean you understand. Maybe you should join and see for yourselves. Buh bye got to get back to work UG.
OK, I want you to be a surviving mother of one of the kids who was shot and killed. So by your logic all Americans are aggressive savages since one soldier went on a killing spree. Do you agree with that? That's the way they view American people over there, so why don't we lower our standards and view them the same way right? Your retarded! What's up with this buh bye, are you a marine or a teenage girl?
Can someone please explain to me exactly how this dude who was with some Special Operations unit albeit not one of them...got past the sentries?
It is really very simple, he was one of the sentries and deserted his post. The fact that they have moved his family to a military base speaks volumes about what they expect the bad guys to do.....But your correct, Army security on their bases isn't the picture of perfection, to say the least...
Even if he hadn't been a sentry and just left his post, he still could've left...they simply don't care over there. My dad has been there for 7 years, I've heard so many stories. And the militants over there have not been silent...they've been blowing it up, saying that 60-something people were killed, and using to to garner more support. Its simply not going to be good.
I almost wonder if he did it simply to get out of doing more deployments. The article said he didn't want to go. Desperation drives people to insane things.
