Hi..Joe! Merry Christmas...I was lucky to get a laptop this christmas! :D Now I dont have to go to a friends house to skype with my husband. My children got way to many toys for christmas. Only grandchildren=Spoiled! How was your christmas?!?
I got to bring my brother and mom down to visit. I also got a couple hoodies, some hanging art, hummingbird feeder, awesome ear buds, a warming buddy. Kids got all kinds of cool stuff. ;o)
My favorite perfume. A beautiful picture blanket from the kids. They put their own money in to buy it. I'm so proud of them! The kids got tons and tons of stuff!
I got a stainless steel wallet [I imagine you never heard of] and a diecast model of a SMART car and two shirts ..calendar .A photo holder my mother created that fits in a tin holder of family pics ,even our old house in the big city of 30 years ago.
I got a watch (that I won), a quilt, JCP $100 card (which I already spent all of it on my kids), $1 in a card from my little one, LOTS of sweet treats from friends, a candle, roses, Omaha Steaks cooler full of stuff, and homemade dishtowels with my initials. I think that was it...gotta get my thank you cards done and in the mail!!
Yeaaa.. I got a new gun!! Just what I wanted!! I want that new gun so gimme it !! It looks shiny and black and was prolly in some movie so it should be mine ! lol
Clothes, Vickies stuff ;), gift cards, cash, electric fireplace for our room, books, entertaining sets, cooking gadgets and accessories and new furniture for our living room. Our late Xmas gift for both hubby and I will be a Bose sound system.
Just having my babies all around me, it was a REALLY nice day!
Thats true Mari, it's nice to have them together. My oldest is going to be 18 this July and she thinks that she is going to move out right when she is 18.
I moved out at 18 too, interesting time. I really wish I had focused more on school, by the time the first little one came along, I could have had a degree if someone had even talked to me about college. My youngest turned 18 in July, and is planning on college, if I can get her through her illness's and into pain management, and her new Rheumatologist, hopefully she can learn to cope better and lead a successful college career.
Yep. I think it was easier when we moved out to get good jobs and advance. I don't see things like that happening anymore. I think our teenagers are going to have to work harder than we did to get a good start going.

True, I had had a job at the local theater for 2 years before graduation, and the 1st year at Barstow CC, then moved to Long Beach to attend Long Beach CC, I bounced around so much, that I never focused on the General Ed even...silly girl (If I knew then, what I know now)...LOL
I just never liked school. I still don't lol. I do see the value in it of course for my young men lol. KEL I wasn't a school success like an 'A" student all thru school and is why I didn't like it real great. But as an adult I'd do better or ace it in my 40s And I wish I had the social benefit of school now! In certain classes I was not liked a lot because I failed homework or was behind and so people thought that wasn't good ..BUT IT IS what you learn when you retain stuff that really counts, not just the grade average you gain though that is useful too.I retained many things in my head though I only made a few Ds and hardly a C plus! I had to get the topics in my own pace which worked for me.I wanted to learn but not enough capacity.
