I'm trying to start couponing but I have a problem. I can't ever find anything that I'd buy in coupons. I mainly shop at the Commissary, but sometimes go to Stater Brothers. Does anyone here coupon & if so, do you mind helping me??

thanks,
amy

*Ames* I actually was attempting to do the couponing thing myself; however, am having a pretty hard time here. I went to the c-store (of little convenience store in Ocotillo Heights around 11:30ish Sunday and all of the papers were already sold out. I was told by a nice woman that you have to get them SUPER early and the BEST places to hit up are normally the super K on Adobe and Two Mile for the LA Times and there is another place (can't remember the name) by the Stater Bros. that sells the New York Times for coupons, but they sell quickly as well. Apparently couponing is huge in these parts. I can't imagine why!! ;) ANYWHO - I get my coupons from ShopAtHome.com. I don't get very many of them, but it helps out just a little bit. Also, inside the first entrance of the commisary there are some coupons one a table. Best bet would be to try and subscribe to the LA Times though...I think I'm going to try and do that this weekend or next. Good luck!! :)

Get them inside at Rite Aid.

Also, you can subscribe ONLY to the sunday edition of the LA Times....its the one with all the coupons....Thats what we do........

are they good coupons though? i only ever see things im never gonna buy..lol

i do a lot of couponing, mostly getting mine online. i dont like the idea of paying for a newspaper that will likely have coupons i wont use, a total waste. imo i think its lame to pay for coupons, defeats the purpose. yeah maybe youll still save but i dont think the work is worth saving myself .12
i do pretty well printing them online and signing up on companies websites, then they mail you coupons through the mail. works great!

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the commissary was no longer accepting printed coupons.

I used printed coupons abt 2 weeks ago. They took them.

the commissary takes coupons..just not ones from smartsource.com i asked recently lol. thank you all for the advice..what are some sites that have good coupons, ones that people actually will use..? :)

Justatouchofcute --- 13 years ago -

Check out super coupon lady on Facebook. Every week she lost what coupons will be in the paper. Most of the time I see her info and dont buy one but sometimes I find out there is something I need and go grab a paper. Also you don't need to spend the money on the la times. The Sun and another paper ( ran by San bernardino county) both have the same coupons at a cheaper cost. There also might be one more "local" paper as well. All under $2.

thank you all for your help :)

Who has time for couponing? OMG.

Who has time for couponing?

I know right. I see people at the commissary with big binders. I do not have time nor patience. Perhaps I should try it though...save on groceries = spend more on self #WINNING. :)

Who has time for couponing? OMG.

lol

I do not have time nor patience.

That's me. My ADD kicks in and I'm done. Plus that, I always forget the coupons at home.

I've watched those couponing shows and frankly I have no space for 25 thingys of washing dertergent. It would also be a waste of money with the way we move around having to either give away or throw it all away.
