Besides 29 being HOT?

How is everyone handling the heat thus far? :) 

WTHeck...where is everyone? Laying in front of fans naked? And I don't mean eggs...

I'm baking ATM just did the ugliest thing to some large windows on the back of my house since that's where the afternoon heat is worse. I used tinfoil I need a better solution that is easier on the eyes but it seems to be helping!

Eclipse curtains help a lot too!!! Or any brand of darkening curtains. 

Where do I find those? 

Oh and do they make them for sliding glass doors? 

Wal-Mart carries a hotel type of curtain that has a heavy liner to block the sun and heat. I don't recall the brand name, but we have them on the sunny side of the house, and for $9 each they are well worth the money. And they are long enough for sliding glass doors. 

I am enjoying our A/C and waiting for dinner to be delivered. 

I also put these under my room darkening curtains because my home faces west and gets all of the afternoon sun. You reverse these so that one side is out in the summer, and switch it around in the winter.

Solar Curtains 

I made soup today for the first time! I have a cold, so the warmth was awesome. I put zucchini, onion, tomatoes, garlic, rice, some leftover mixed veggies I had, and ground turkey in the crock pot with water, chicken broth, and chicken bullion and let it cook! It was great. :)

Then I taught Zumba. All in all, a pretty satisfying day, I think.

I worked in the office all day and was to tired to cook. Take out all the way! And where I'm at it's not only warm but super muggy. I want my dry heat!! 

I made Patty Melts on Dill Rye Bread & Sweet Potato Fries.

Now I'm baking for a meeting tomorrow. Oreo Cheesecake Bites & Smores Krispie Treats. 

I refuse to cook in this heat. Cold sandwiches, fruit, veggies, and lots of water!

Whoops! Sorry! :) I'd invite you over for some, but I'm a little ways away from 29. 

I was cooking when I went swimming yesterday, and layed out. 

We haven't been able to swim with the little one having been sick with a head cold. But I'm swimming early tomorrow morning and can't wait!! If I get my swim on that means I don't have to walk in the heat!!!

NO!!!! and the snake incident was just a freak happening....Been pulling weeds for the past few days and there aren't even any lizards, let alone snakes....Think our neighborhood roadrunner has been feasting.... 

You better hope so. Or else 911 will need to be called for me.
