I just need to say that living out here these past few years has really shown me how terrible and irresponsible people can be with pets.

Losing them, not micro-chipping, no collars, breeding/selling them, etc. This little rant of mine comes courtesy of situation I saw yesterday on the FB Yard sale group.

A lady found a Pug that was running loose out in off base housing. For whatever reason, the lady couldn't hold on to him while seeking the owner so she gave him to the shelter. She then posted that if the owner was on the group site that they could pick him up from there and gave the shelter's number.

Some (I can't REALLY say what I think of her) woman popped up with a horrible attitude toward the lady that surrendered the dog. She was like "He was ours but thanks to you we can't afford to get him out","I don't know why you can't be like everyone else and keep him while you post on here", "thanks again". Nasty, nasty attitude.

An admin of the site spoke up and told her to not be rude to other members. She then caught an attitude with the admin saying "I have a right to speak my mind and say how I feel". The admin had to remind her of the rule about keeping personal feelings/opinions to herself. The post was deleted.

Last night I saw a lady trying to re-home her dog and guess who was trying to get him?! Yeah, the one who couldn't afford to break her Pug out of jail! I also realized another interesting thing, she had just last week been given that Pug by another member of the group.

I sure hope the lady who is re-homing her dog right now DOESN'T pick her! It's this type of thing that makes me sick. She can't afford the dog she lost so why not replace him with another dispensable pet! I won't say on here what her name is but if you re-home a dog please watch for the initials C.S.

Please keep collars/tags on your dogs if they go outside (even fenced) without you.

I agree with you! Its horrible! Yet they have money to go out to eat! Dang, skip a meal out and get the dog!Easy. Idiots probably didn't feed the dogs so the poor dogs natural instinct is to find food! They don't deserve to have a pet!

Yeah and for the most part it's quiet. The admin that called her out told her something like "we strive for a drama free zone". I guess if anyone wants a 2 year old, male Pug you can adopt him at the local shelter. These types of people should be fined for knowingly allow the pet to remain there while seeking a replacement. Evil. 

Oh and this is NOT the group that Benjones created and promotes on here.

Come on, this type of stuff happens EVERYWHERE! Open your eyes, not everything bad happens right in front of you.

Do you see everything at face value? Everyone else managed to comprehend that being out here ESPECIALLY made me realize it. Obviously it happens everywhere but I don't see it necessary to state obvious for the normal members that can process thought at a regular rate. I've seen it more in my years out here than I have anywhere else.
