Put your unbagged trash in your neighbors trash can???? We just moved onbase and I went outside this morning to go somewhere and there was loose trash nxt to my can. So i went to pick it up and toss it in my can only to notice ALOT of someone else trash in my can. I know its my next doot neighbor because the idiots put mail in the can as well. Im not a dirty person and now I have all this loose trash everywhere. What the heck??????

Umm, well.. .it depends honestly. In base housing they can charge for "trash removal fees" for when you move out, and its not trash day but you have a heap of trash at the curb when you're moving out. We were tempted to ask our neighbors to dispose of our trash when we left San Diego, but instead they were able to waive the trash removal fee I think. (IT WAS A LOT.) So... do you have neighbors moving?

Also, I am guilty, I have watched over a friends house before and when I was tidying up her house I threw her recycling in with someone else's as well as trash in a different bin. It wasn't HEAPS of it though, a few bottles, and then a small bathroom trash bag of tissues.


If it's an overwhelming amount, then that's ridiculous and needs to be addressed. but if it's like say trash they might of taken out of their car when cleaning? ehh.. shrug it off your shoulders and do the same back to them.

After all it's all trash and it's all going the same place. 

Idk I think if they want to use my trash can they should at least have the courtesy to ask...I mostlikely let them if it wasn't mostly full.. 

Its alot of loose trash, and they are not moving. If t was bagged trash i prob would not have cared but its loose junk. And if you have extra bags that do not fit in can, u can place them next to the can. It filled my can up, I only had 2 bags in there. There can is not over flowing. And it says if the trash is not bagged, they will not pick it up 

Maybe they were cleaning out their car and didn't realize it wasn't theirs? 

In joshua tree, if the trash bags weren't in the can they wouldn't pick them up.. made things such a pain when moving..

If it bothers you, you should knock on your neighbors door & make mention of it.

Back in North Carolina my neighbors would toss their trash into my cans if theirs were full. I went over & explained to them, If it's trash day & my cans are at the curbside & they aren't full...feel free to put your extra trash into my can. But please don't come onto my property to dispose of your trash into my cans because MY trash in MY cans takes priority over your garbage. 

Perfect way to handle it Miso. I could care less unless it impairs my ability to put my own trash in.

Well, at least the trash made its way into a garbage can, not just floating around! I wouldn't care unless it was a habitual thing, and they were filling up my can so much so that I can't use it, because like some of you said, they won't pick up bags not in cans (off base) 

Well it was floating all around, i wa picking it up off the ground and thats how i noticed. And they were cleaning up there garage and just tossing junk everywhere. I know it seems so petty but if it was bagged I wouldnt care. I just moved in and have a lot of my own trash that needs discarding. And to top it off, the husband went and tried to throw more lose trash in my can and saw me standing there and then tossed it in his own can. Its just curtious to ask before doing that and it is irrating to me and idk y. Im not a nut case but for some reason it bthers me 

Why didn't you say something to him when you saw him if it is bothering you that much? That would have been the perfect time to do so.
