I've been there once. It was fine until my friend said we had to get out because the State Cops were making everyone leave lol. Never went back but it was fun while it lasted!
I wish it was in walking distance..I always end up cabbing it there and back. I do live close to the bar that seems to not have a name just the dingy cocktails sign haha...I was told if BnR is a 3 star that place is a no star but they serve strong drinks but it's like you're drinking in someone's kitchen lol
I think so haha...no one seems to know it's name. Like I said it's like drinking at a friends house...no one shot pours...just glug glug until your happy lol...wondering if they just serve it up out of a trash can like jungle juice
Haha...that's pretty much 29 Palms finest from what I hear...one of the bartenders at Edchadas is cool as hell though...blonde lady super nice...mindy or mandy or something like that
idk...it's the one on the 62 kind of by the 29 Palms Inn I believe...I leave base via Condor normally only see it when i go to the post office or the 7/11...which seems about 50/50 in terms of cool employees..although did watch someone get kicked out of there a few weeks ago...we need a 29PUG meet one of these days...I'd like to put names to faces
I don't know about that but believe ya..me and my wife went and it was pretty slow but a good time...played pool drank a bunch of beer with friends...good stuff
See I work a weird schedule so I have random days off from work not weekends so we went on like a Wednesday or Thursday and BNR was a good time. I'll have to hit up Downtown Josh here soon :)
Love it, but feel bad that my husband can't really go. Old school Marine, SNCO. Knows that if something breaks out, it's his responsibility to put an end to it regardless, and if he sees one of his Marine's "actin a fool" he just doesn't wanna be THAT guy, ya know? (This is coming from a man who would rather SHINE his boots)

If he were REALLY an "OLD SCHOOL SNCO", he wouldn't let something like having to correct junior Marines keep him away. He isn't "OLD SCHOOL", he's afraid the junior Marine WON'T LIKE HIM...I've been retired for over 22 years and still have no problem correcting bad behavior from ANY Marine out in public....
He isn't afraid they won't like him, he just doesn't want to be bothered when we are out in public trying to enjoy a night together. He's been in for about 13 years, and has no problem correcting a marine when he's off base wearing full PT gear. Seen that before. But he just doesn't want to be caught at a Jr. Marine hang out when he's with me. So we avoid the Break n Run at all costs.
I'm not sure if you'd meant to be rude with your comment, or just wanted to get a point across..
ALSO I'm sure you remember then how back in the day, if a Jr. Marine screwed up, you play "fuk fuk" games and smoked them til they collapsed (My grandfather and father told me all about these stories of torment on their jr's) That is now considered "Hazing". You have some Marines now that will even challenge what you say and go next up the chain of command without thinking. (Pfc. walking into Reg. because he doesn't like the time picked for morning formation) LOL Some Marines that go UA with pathetic excuses like "I didn't know." and now the politics to punish these marines. It's a headache and I don't blame my husband for not wanting to deal with it while spending his free time with our family.

Obviously some SNCO's aren't Marines 24 hours a day, as they were in the past....I guess it IS a new Marine Corps....and you'll notice it is Marine, NOT marine....
