Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has any resources out here for locally owned farms that grass feed their cows and sell the milk on location or sell their own cuts of meat? I already go to the farmers market in JT but haven't seen any beef or milk farmers there. I'd appreciate any helpful info!

I'm looking as well, I would like to buy in bulk.

There is a restaurant in Palm Springs that serves only cows that are grass fed. Maybe call them and see if thy can point you in the right direction. The Grind House I think is the name

Thanks for the replies. All the research I have done shows we would have to drive out to Oceanside or a more populated area on the coast in order to have those types of farms at or disposal. Kinda stinks, but it is what it is. I don't have the link to share with those others who were looking at the moment but If you want to make the drive you can just google grass fed beef and there are all sorts of websites with links to look up local farmers radius from where you are, what they offer and how they differ from other farms. :)

I just found grass fed ground beef at Stater Bros. the other day. Maybe that could hold you over until you are able to get out to Oceanside... Just a thought

My daughter attempted to sell just eggs at the farmers market..way tooooo many regulations. Milk is even harder to sell due to the processes that have to be done. They do grow their own beef and wow it is good! There used to be a butcher in J.T. but I believe he has been ill and has closed his shop.

I was searching for local farmers last night. All I found was a Fresh N Easy an hour away that sells organic chicken.
