I've been mulling over the possibility of buying a house out here rather than throwing my money away on rent every month. However; I'm concerned about resale out here. Has anybody had any experience in trying to sell a house in 29 Palms? Because of the schedule I work it would definitely have to be 29 Palms. Is it possible to get your money back out here? 

I built here in 2008, and the house has never been back to full value since late that year. I think currently, I'm 40k underwater. I doubt, I'd get anything near what I need if I was to sell right now. Now, would be a buyers market, but whether or not you'd be able to sell later, is really market driven. There are three homes for sale in our development, and they're all within 4 years old (one is like 2 years old)...
