WARNING: do not go there for manicures I went there to get my nails done, she ended up doing a really crappy job and was very rude! A week or so after I started to notice a lump on my thumb and middle finger. A few more days went by and it progressively got bigger and worse, it started to burn and hurt extremely bad. I went to the dermatologist and they told me that the lumps were indeed plantar warts. I asked if they (dermatologist) could possibly burn off like they do other warts and they told me no because my finger nail would fall off. This is extremely painful and embarrassing . I feel very uncomfortable around people knowing it can spread and there is nothing I can do . The dr said it was most likely caused by the salon using dirty reused utensils and spreading the bacteria . This is not the only problem I have had with them a few years before this incident I went to get my eyebrows waxed and ended up having swelling, redness and a rash . Has anyone had plantar warts and were able to get rid of them? If so how! I have tried pretty much everything and I'm going nuts! Thanks ! Hope to pass this along . The 29 palms nail & spa re uses there equipment & do horrible jobs!

And just an fyi there is no way you can know for sure that is where you got the virus from, for all you know you have had the virus for Years and it just now decided to present symptoms. The salon has every right to sue you for defamation if they want since you have NO proof. 

I know of other people who have had the same experience going there. I've done research and others also say that they use dirty utensils. 

I can't have mine cut out it has completely grown under my finger nail. 

FYI I didn't have the virus before . I am a germ freak . Only way you can get warts is by contact with someone who has it, by touching theirs while its wet and it spreading to you or by something that has the virus on it. Only thing that touched my fingers for a long period of time and could have passed on the virus is their untensils that they used on other people that had the virus . It only makes sense that they used their dirty sh!t on me on it happend . I asked for advice but thanks. I know where I got it from.

It shows where I asked for advice & no I didn't wear gloves but for example if someone has the virus or a wart on their hand & you are holding hands you can get it after a while . 

It started in the cracks between my finger nail and skin; where they file your nails.. Seriously where else could I have got it in the crease?? 

Quit trolling and get on with your life . I'm asking how to help with getting rid of the problem. 

Clearly you have No idea how the virus works. It does not just show up where it contacts the skin. You could have touched something on your bare foot and have a warts show up on your finger. Stop trying to blame a business when you legit have ZERO proof that you actually got it from there. And if you want it removed then get it cut out, who cares if you loose your nail, it will grow back.

Because they told me its normal to have swelling your first time getting waxed. I am not attacking a business I am warning people about the place. I'm not the only one on here talking about this place .

Wait...so you went to the Doc and he told you how it works but he didn't tell you about the duct tape remedy??

You need a new doc. 

He told me to try the duct tape, I did but it didn't work . So I was seeing if anyone knew of any other remedies they have tried and worked.. I'm not asking for people to be rude to me for no reason..

Seriously though...there are other methods...GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND...there are lots of well known methods to get rid of plantar warts. Jus sayin
