Anyone have suggestions either locally in 29/YV/JT or Palm Springs? Something that's decent quality (won't bubble/turn purple) and reasonably priced.

Don't go to dark, they made us pull our tint off the front windows after they pulled us over and held up their gun at us. It was DRAMATIC to say the least.

holy cow..CHP, Sheriff's or PMO? I have had tinted windows on every vehicle I've owned and aside from an occasional tint ticket no issues esp. once it's registered out of state

CHP, the tint was kinda dark, but if you looked you could see through it. Maybe b/c my husbands truck is black also so it looked darker. I mean it was the middle of the day and we were heading to airport and he pulled his gun out and all after telling us to roll windows down from microphone, which we did. But he still felt it necessary to draw his weapon. PMO never said anything to us coming on base, even when my husband got a speeding ticket noone said anything. And I see cars with WAY darker tint

Haha..yeah my previous vehicles were black and all had limo tint but I figured if I was going to get a tint ticket anyway haha..but out here I see it as almost necessary with the sun and what not

I know, I loved the darker tint, my husband is going to retint the front windows when he gets back from deployment. Not as dark obv. I was so pissed we had to take it off. I asked for a fine ticket but we had to scrape tint off, go down and show them.

Wow..that's weak. When I got a few of mine in SD I either put them off until I had to show up for court and then called and the tickets weren't in the system anymore or just paid the $25 to clear up the ticket

I know a guy who was told to remove his tint by PMO after coming in the front gate. It took them a couple years to complain was the mysterious part. I guess he randomly got the officer one day who cared :)

I've seen some cars that simply didn't tint the entire window...like the side windows left the corner in front of the mirror open, and the windshield was only tinted halfway, and they got away with that. I thought it was funny coming through the gate one time that the guard told me I had to move my GPS from the middle of the dash to the corner, because it "obscures my view," but didn't make my move the AL helmet that was hanging on my mirror. lol
