So, last summer...I learned (from the Underground) that spoiled Marine wives are supposed to get a Coach bag...I told my husband what i learned from you guys and he told me to buy it myself! Hmph! .....LOL....so, my husband's retirement ceremony is tomorrow morning....and guess what?!! He came home today with a gift...a Coach purse! Yay! I did it! Lol... I'm such a nerd! 

LOL. One of my coworker's today commented how nice my purse was. She said, "Is that a Coach?" I told her, "Nope, Payless!"

That kinda stuff makes my day...my $20 purse looks like designer quality. I don't see anything wrong with getting one as a gift, it's just when women get them for superficial reasons, and spending that kind of money is way beyond their means, that I don't understand. I still have no idea what the Coach phenomenon is about though lol...nobody like Gucci, Prada, or Louis Vuitton? Haters!! :)

Fuuny thing, I saw this girl at the Navel Hospital the other day, She has a coach bag, coach shoes, and coach sunglasses, talk about spoiled ;)

Personally, I don't dig Coach purses. My personal favorite brand for a purse is Vera Bradley. The last Vera Bradley I bought lasted me about 4 years and the wallet even longer. I don't think that's too bad for about $100. I tend to be hard on purses, though. I was lucky enough to get a new one for mother's day. :)

I like my 31 bag and my custom made bag...yes, out of my husbands uniform. They suit me just fine. 

I'll stick with my Channel! It's timeless; years from now when Coach is a distinct trend. My Channel purse will still be in just like it was ten years ago. To each her own.

Look, I have to agree with GunnysPrideJoy; Channel is timeless and classy. So is Louis as long as you don't get the obnoxious signature patterns.

If you're going to spend money on a treat for yourself; do it right. Get something that not every single girl from the Island Empire has.

And skip Gucci BTW. As soon as a rapper named himself after their brand, he ruined them.

I can speak from personal experience that my Louis wallet was made of amazing quality and seems will last me forever. It's worth it. Treat yourselves ladies.

I have had my Channel purse for ten years now and its still in style. Funny thing is my boss has a Channel from the 70's still in style and looks great. There worth every bit of the price. Plus so sick of the Coach logo every where! Same with the LV. More power to you for your hubbub finally getting you a Coach purse.
