my garden is thriving right now, of course in July and august it will suffer but for now, melons, figs, grapes, pomagranites, lemons, tomatoes and egg plant are all doing well..love hearing of what others are planting and growing here in the desert..

Hi Jeanne, I wish I had your green thumb, nothing but the usual plants here, I haven't tried any fruit yet (except for an orange tree which is struggling after 2 years)...:-)

My garden is thriving also. I've got tomatoes, onions, broccoli, snap peas, strawberries, cucumber, peppers lots of peppers and a bunch of other stuff out there. We made it fine through the summer last year, no prob with the heat, just ground squirrel issues...

My garden is doing excellent, but I had to cover it....you know how those nosey DEA folks area....Almost above my fence line, maybe I'll harvest alittle today and start the drying process....

do you dehydrate? I have an Excalibur, sure love it. nothing goes to waste if you can dry the food.I love drying the extra peppers, tomatoes and other veggies to add to soups and stews later.. doing a load of beef jerky right now.. the smell is so good all thru the house..
my broccoli isn't doing much, but the rest are doing good.. peas dried up when I was ill for a few days.. but will plant again in the beginning of fall.
