Selling stuff on 29PYS...am I the only one that Facebooks people by their email address to figure out my chances of being robbed at gun point? Oh, growing up in the town I did made me paranoid! 

I don't fb they're email, but I do check to see if they have a yard sale account or have their own stuff for sale. Doesn't matter though, I still have people email me about stuff then never respond after I do. 

I had that happen about three times when I was selling my ps3. But this guy in particular was adamant (at first) about coming to pick up my Wii last night, and it was nearly 10pm...plus the name for his e-mail was just "E." So I Facebooked, and turns out I knew who he was. No big deal now. :) Back in AL/GA (grew up on the border) you just had to be so careful. Had a friend from high school who was killed when he walked in on a burglar in his home, in the middle of the day. Cops being held at gunpoint - by their own gun - in broad daylight at the mall. Craziness out there. I know lots of places are worse, but it was still not an easy environment to grow up in...and somehow it's in the top 10 for "places to raise a family." Who made that list?! 

I just always meet folks in the stater bros. parking lot - lots of people around. 

I make sure I'm the one who deals with buyers, not my wife even though she tends to list the stuff. She decided that if the buyer wanted to text/call she would give them my number. I was very happy when she made that decision. More people should be cautious however there is a difference between caution and all out paranoia. 

The guy I sold my ps3 to actually sent his girlfriend to get it, and the guy that bought my wii games came while my husband was here. Since I know who this fella was buying my wii, I wasn't all that worried. Still, try and be as careful as I can be lol.
