I'm not exactly sure what causes people who drive 4-door vehicles to "challenge" (I use that word loosely in this case) a muscle car. It happens to me basically every day and I see it happening to other people as well.

Today I was driving down Adobe toward base a some little silver car decides they wanna race. First, it's not worth my time and second, it's a 55 MPH zone so not much point. The driver obviously had no regard for other people on the road. They took off once they saw I wasn't interested, they went about 75 in a 55.

Less than 1 minute later here come the blue lights and the idiot got pulled over. It was a little bit of justice. I see this type of thing all the time and usually the stupid driver(s) get away with it but not today!

Bet that ticket isn't too nice either, considering he was doing at least 10-15 over the speed limit. Oh well, I'm just glad I wasn't stupid enough to feed into that crap. I really wish the cops were around more often for this purpose and maybe people would actually obey the speed limits. My car was built for speed yet I manage to obey the law so I see no reason other that stupidity/pride that makes other's behave this way. 

I wish they were around more at the 4 way intersection by Subway and the DMV, people run the red lights all the time..

Been almost hit twice on a green light entering the intersection. :S 

That's a horrible intersection! People just act like fools. People always think their time is more valuable than everyone else's or they can make it. I've seen people just straight run that light after being red for a few seconds. That area and the curve leading down to it (Condor gate exit) are just crazy. 

I had SIX cars pass me on Lear Road this morning before turning off at Two Mile Road...there was a string of 3 of us doing between 55&60mph coming down that hill and these 6 cars...yes, driven by MARINES, were going at least 75mph...flew past us...with cars coming up in their lane.

Idiots.

I've talked to numerous people (civilians & Marines) and they always say "California drivers" but that just isn't the case. Most of the craziness is clearly Marines and Marine wives. These are people from all over the place so that doesn't make any sense. It's just a bad "hurried" mentality. When I bring that up they just kind of chuckle or something like that and have nothing else to say.

I gave up on driving Two Mile a long time ago. People either drive too slow or too fast. 

I drive Two Mile all the time, often several times a day with no problem. It's Lear Road and Indian that are bad during rush hour times. People are just stupid.

I concur. And teenagers. I'm around the high school area a lot too and I've seen the teenagers driving...smh. 

I take a lot of the side roads just because I know where I can make time between the IC and the Base or middle of town - you still have to watch folks because they DON'T STOP FOR STOP SIGNS...smh. But I know where to look. So far anyhow.

I remember when it did not even have a stop light... A lot of accidents.

From what I understand since it has been straightened out a lot less accidents and deaths.

I think people think just because we live "way out" that they do not need to follow the speed limit signs.

Today, I was about 1/2 a block away from the stop sign and one of the cars from the HS passed me just to "get in front of me at the stop sign"...

May be the cops need to be around the HS like they were when I went there giving out tickets...IMHO... 

No doubt. They have no concept of what a School Zone Speed Limit is.
