Study Description
Researchers at the University of Southern California (USC) are conducting a study to learn how military wives and their teenage children deal with their family member's military service. If you choose to volunteer for this study, you will be asked to answer questions about your family member's service and about how you have coped. You and your teen will also be asked to have two short, videotaped discussions about family issues. Your participation is voluntary and would involve a 2-hour meeting with USC researchers. You will receive $50 as compensation for your time.

Eligibility
- Mother and child aged 14-18 are both willing to participate
- Mother and child can complete questionnaires and interviews in English

Hi everyone,
I guess "uscmilitarystudy" wouldn't fit! How funny!

To answer some of the questions on here, right now I can only afford to pay $50 per family (rather than per person) - this is my dissertation project and I'm on a tight budget :-). Here's hoping I can pay more in the future.

If you have two eligible teens, that's great, but we'll only be able to use one! Maybe one is more interested (or less busy) than the other?

No meds for this particular study, although I love the chart on diagnoses and Rxs for our hundred-acre wood friends!

Please feel free to continue commenting or to email me if you have questions about the study!

My teenager and I met Aubrey on Friday to do this study - it was plenty interesting lol!! Her attending research assistants were quite lovely and had my teenager sitting up and paying attention ricky tick!!!

I had forgot all about getting paid for the deal so it was a nice surprise to get $50...of course I had to share it with the teenager.

I'm bumping this.

This female working on her doctorate is a former Marine wife...her husband has served and is in college as well.

Contact her if you have a teenager and are military. Help a sista out. :)
