so I don't know what it is with peoploe out here and hitting on people at stores but where I come from this is not proper etiquette. I mean seriously I had some guy follow me around staters one day until finally he asked me to dinner and then I told him I am married and he was like "so is that a no then?" and I had my kid with me!!! ummm really! another time at Food4less a guy kept trying to help me with my grocieries then asked me if I would keep him if he followed me home... CREEP! and like 5 mins ago I went to circle k to get my hubby some OJ for his duty tonight and some guy stopped me in the parking lot and told me I'm attractive... he must of been kidding! I look like a bum.in sweat pants a jacket no make up on my hair pulled back and my nerdy glasses on...
Has anyone else had this happen cuz I personally don't find it that flattering more creepy and in poor taste! what happened to picking up/hitting on women at bars or in a social setting not while the are picking something up at the local mart...?
[well I am glad Taken you ^^ posted because that shows me that to NOT do it that way truthfully and not that I have done that and will not do it to someone like 20 plus years younger then I am likely]..The guys need to know how to be fair to the ladies is true ..
[[one thing that seems complicating things is people don't talk to people in person to create only friendships because of the NET being used a lot /which I grew up in that you did it the good old fashion way you just talked and got familiar to other]. Disclaimer =friends not dates..
Im from Idaho... lol and its nice to complament but some people take it too far like asking a stranger to dinner in the grocery store. and the 2nd guy came up to me and started taking grocies out of my cart and loading my car...??? really thats intucive... I don't if it is weird to everyone else but I personally dont want some stranger fingering all my groceries unless that is their job and they had the ok

I relate so. Basically they mean noone likes you but them lyingly or something.. 'manipulators' kind. So I do not mean decent normal peeps but 'users' .
I know and after I shut him down he started trying to talk to my kid like " hi whats your name" I was like really?! and I looked at my son and said "come on we dont talk to STRANGErs"
Oh is that where the creeps shop... I hadn't got the memo... lol guess I will stick to the commisary from now on. Nothin creepy has happened there yet *KNOCK on wood*
it might really help things to someday or now write a book on how you feel and then people will read it and people start understanding more in time.. What's creepy today was not so creepy decades back at times. And sometimes peeps do not really mean any harm likely..
I DO KNOW that in past times a female can be very good looking but end up killing herself because she thought she was a ''nobody' all the way too.. I am sure there has been proof of that.It is definately tragic.
If you have a ring on and a child with you then I think it is creepy and disrespectful to ask you out on a date or flirt with you. If some guy JUST compliments you and tells you that he thinks your pretty, I don't see how that is rude, creepy or offensive. I personally keep my thoughts, good or bad to myself but I don't think any woman should be offended if some stranger says you are attractive and leaves it at that.
I agree with you on that Sparky, nothing wrong with compliments, to an extent though. I was at wal mart the other night and some guy was like " damn girl, how you doing" mmmmm, I thought that was weird lol
Mostly it is not OUR people, it is usually YOUR people from out of state...and then sometimes when ya dress like a hoe, you get hit on like a hoe...Jus Sayin....
