My parents did the hot sauce punishment too...but they weren't dumb enough to document the evidence on video tape & submit it to a TV show.

LOL! It is definately dumb on their part! 

I can't believe that this woman's husband is a Police Officer & didn't warn his wife of the consequences of submitting evidence like this to air on national TV!

I think it was more the cold showers and making him do jumping jacks until he hit exhaustion that made her guilty.

The hot sauce thing though....ridiculous!! 

Im glad! When I watched that on Dr. Phil I literally wanted to cry! Poor boy! 

I don't watch Dr. Phil, he comes off as an arrogant prick.

But I suppose, whatever gets ratings. 

I saw this a long time ago on Dr.Phil VERY sad.

My daughter LOVES hot sauce so it wouldn't work for me. 

Someone posted part of her segment from the Dr. Phil show on here a while ago. I thought the punishment was ridiculous then, and I still think it is now.

Honestly, I'm glad the boy is in counseling and that the parents are being held accountable for what they did.

He always talks about accepting consequences to your actions and taking accountability. I believe that 100%.

His comments don't sound genuine, it come across as condescending.

I also hate how he ends every show with walking off stage with Robin, always smiling.

They both seem fake & only sticking it out for the money/publicity.

Yeah, that was only earlier this year too. 

My parents never did the hot sauce punishment. We were always threatened with soap in the mouth but none of us ever really got the soap in the mouth.. Just was a threat...
