I seen this business advertise for internet services and was wondering if anyone else has them and how they like it. I used the search bar and found nothing.

These houses arent even wired for cable yet.

Hey I called them when we were staying in the desert before we got base housing. The people were really friendly. I think they were a bit expensive but we didnt need it for more than a month so we decided not to get any wifi but if we were permanelty in need of wifi, i would have gave them a whirl. I want to say it was like $100 for equipment rental (refundable when return equipment) $50 for installation. I think there monthly charge was based on how much usage you wanted, idk if they had unlimited usage or not.

They put a wifi piece on your house, kinda like a satalite dish. Verizon wireless has a box you can buy if thats an option for you.

kellbell --- 13 years ago -

Ok thanks, Ill have to call them. We cant get Verizon service in these houses either.

verizon you should be able to get a hot spot box

imperfectly perfect --- 13 years ago -

hot spot box

i think thats what i was talking about. But you have to sign a 2 yr contract with them if you want to get box for like $50. otherwise box was like $200. It uses cell towers to give you internet

kellbell --- 13 years ago -

Yea we have Sprint and I think we should be able to get one through them too. But I know it can be pricey.

virgin mobile has wireless... $40/month for unlimited

And it works pretty good? Can more then one computer use the internet at a time?

Yodad --- 13 years ago -

stay away from virgin. slow speeds and frequent problems, also 5 gig monthly usage cap. mojave is great, truly unlimited downloads and great speed.. blows virgin out of the water..check out their website for more info..

mojave

vigin worked fine when we had it... we could have multiple computers on it at once and could take it with us... It was cheap and convient... we never had problems with it being slow we just got rid of it because we did a bundle thing with the phone...

AT&T has the best 3G data speeds in the area. Their HSPDA network is much faster than the speeds offered by Sprint/Virgin/Verizon's EV-DO network around here. Since you're ONLY talking data, I'd recommend AT&T assuming you get a signal in your area.

I use Mojavewifi, it's fantastic. You can get it for as little as $25. They have faster speeds too up to 12 meg look at their website http://www.mojavewifi.com/

I use MW at the moment, I loved the service when we signed up a year ago, now I'm not so impressed. Lots of service blackouts recently, sometimes lasting all day, and the speed drops randomly to just about nothing.

I may be switching to this provider, they offer a 3Mbs connection for $29 a month, no contract. I'm paying $45 a month to MW for a 2Mbs connection.

From what I have read on the internet about Flashbyte you would have to love gambling to try them. Their former customers have a cute saying that they have been flash bit lol. Their reviews and all the lawsuits they bring against their customers who decide to cancel service should be enough to scare off any smart person. Mojave wifi has worked ok for me, I've had Hughs and friends have had exceed/wild blue/ flashbyte and in my opinion there is nothing better than mojave if you want to have a chance at streaming or gaming.
