Saw the new one on base last night! Now the day after, trying desperately not to compare it to the book 

Darn! I still have to wait another 5 days! Was it awesome?! I can't wait. 

It was really good. If you've read the books, try hard not to compare too much. As a movie it was flippin' fantastic, as a comparison to the book... I was a little disappointed

Darn, I love the books, I hate when movies deviate too much from them! But I haven't read the 7th one in a while, maybe I won't be too disappointed!

Me too! Its crazy! The first book came out in like what '99? or 2000? I've loved it all for more than half of my life lol 

Ditto I grew up on them too! I cannot wait to see the movie! I just know i am going to cry! 

I think the first book came out in like 97 or 98? I was still in highschool and I grad in 99. It's been more than 10 years since all this started and now I'm 'brainwashing' my own kids with it, lol.
