Hi-desert pony league is now holding registration for the 2012 spring league. We will be in 29 and or Yucca Valley every weekend until the end of February. Our locations will vary each weekend so feel free to check out our website at 29hdpl.clubspaces.com. We have contact information for all board members who would be glad to answer any questions. I can be contacted via email at tara.boisvert@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing everyone again this season.
Both leagues are very similar. The major difference is Pony follows major league rules starting at 9 & 10 years old. Such as allowing lead offs and such. Both leagues are local, non-traveling during regular season. We do have all-star teams that are formed after the regular season that do travel. However that is not until June or so. Hi-Desert Pony charges a $50 registration fee that includes a full uniform (shirt, pants, hat, belt, and socks) as well as a trophy at the end of the season. Last year we had approximately 175 kids in our league. I hope this answered your question. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
I just found out recently that the Pony League games are played at Knotts Sky Park...which is much closer to my house. My little one hasn't played in either league yet but that location is definitely attractive to the chauffeur.
I am sooo sorry. The person who was supposed to be out there at 10 got sick. My husband is out there now but got a late start because we got a late call. He will be there until 2.
Well they just came back and said they didn't see him...I'm sending them back over there right now...on the plus side - he has his phone on him now lol.
You can come to any of the evals. It is just to assess skill levels and to ensure each kid is put on the right team. Then after the draft the coach will contact you.
