I'm in the Navy and I'll be working at the Naval Hospital in 29 Palms. I'm just wondering how on/ off base housing works. Please help... 

umm it depends on your rank and number of dependents, then from there it depends on where houses are available. Calling the housing office will be your best bet for information

Well I'm a E-3 Right now and I have no dependents. I'll definitely be calling the housing office.

umm if I am not mistaken with no dependents you will be in the barracks. Now if by no dependents you mean no kids but you are married, then you actually DO have a dependent.

If you have NO dependents...I doubt it would be something you would want.

There are bunches of houses for rent in the Indian Cove area of 29 Palms - Hwy 62 and Lear Road area. Just drive around and you will see them.
