I figured I'd ask if anyone has personal experience with this since the housing office is practically useless to call....

Has anyone put in a request to move out of 801 to base housing? Since my husband picked up corporal, technically he outranks our neighborhood category, and I've had a few people tell me they were in the same position and were able to move? Our house here is okay, but we really need a backyard for our dogs and a garage. 

his rank change MAY allow you to change, though I would not count on it. If you are in a 2 bed room unit I would assume you are sol. 

We were able to move on base from 801 after my husband picked up Cpl. We only had one kid and were in a 2 bedroom. This was about 3 years ago, however.
