Fall weather might actually be headed our way finally!!!

This is the weather warning I found on one of the Weather sites for our area:

Statement as of 2:58 AM MDT on October 09, 2012

... Unseasonably strong fall system to impact the area Wednesday
through Friday...

Summary... a strong upper level low pressure system is forecast to
move across the Desert Southwest Thursday and Friday... bringing
areas of light to moderate rain... isolated thunderstorms... and
even some high elevation snowfall to the region Wednesday through
Friday. In addition... temperatures will plummet to 10-15 degrees
below normal for the second week of October.

Wednesday... showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
from south to north across portions of Mohave... Clark... Lincoln...
and Nye counties during the day. During the late afternoon and
evening... some of the stronger storms will have the potential to
produce flash flooding and gusty winds in excess of 60 mph.

Thursday... rain showers are expected across much of the region.
Light to moderate rain showers are expected to develop and
remain nearly stationary in a broad band across Clark... southern
Nye... and Esmeralda counties. Rainfall totals of 0.25-0.50 inches
may be common... with over one inch possible across the higher
terrain or where heavier showers/thunderstorms develop. These
higher amounts could see flooding problems develop. In
addition... snow levels will fall Thursday through Thursday
night... reaching as low as 8000 feet across the Sierra... white...
and Spring Mountains. This will likely bring the first snow to the
high elevations of the Sierra... white... and Spring Mountains.

Friday... the broad band of precipitation from Thursday will move
quickly to the northeast... allowing precipitation to taper off
through the day.

People planning outdoor activities should monitor the forecast
over the next few days as this system approaches... particularly if
planning activities at higher elevations.
