It's not in 29 Palms but you can go horse back riding in the Black Rock Canyon area in Yucca Valley. It's part of the Joshua Tree National Park.

white rock horse rescue. Isabelle is the owner and operator. she needs help up there often and if you help around the ranch she'll let you ride. she has 59 horses, 30 I believe are upsaddle. she is located in yucca valley. you can look up the ranch online. :)

Yeah.. We haven't been back up to wrhr in yucca/landers in a months. Isabelle is pretty intimidating.. She seems like she's got her heart in the right place for all the horses that need TLC but she's not a big people person lol. Or so It seemed to me. We love riding and want to get the kids more involved... The drive from here to landers is a bit much though. :( 

anyone know of any other places/people who rent horses? 

I have horses on base..I allow people to ride while Iam there supervising. .cost is only bring me a bale of hay...that's a great payment..they eat alfalfa so make it a good one..for every day someone rides they need to bring a bale..if you bring me 5 you can ride 5 seperate days..
