I believe in Creation and I study it on the net often and since I already know all the components of 'evolutionary fossils' so well ..i sstudy the fossils like from pics to examine them closely and seek to fit them in but not trying to say I got a degree in that ..But I studied and read on prehistory since a child and am now 48 age.I sort of 'know the ropes' and love the topic as well.

joe --- 13 years ago -

you Washington should read the book 'The days of Lamech ' by Jon Saboe [creationist writer] a novel of the preflood world and very fascinating stuff too! Look up the title as a website as well to find a book to buy or read.It is a prequel of another he wrote of after the great flood. :)

These bones don't care!!

DJCC --- 13 years ago -

Why are they mutually exclusive? Why can't you believe both?

For example, believing that God created the evolutionary process.

WashingtonNiceApples --- 13 years ago -

David thats a good question. I should have made that an option. In most of these discussions people are either one way or the other. At least that has been my experience with it.

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

believing that God created the evolutionary process.

Yes.

I should have made that an option.

It's not an option for me to believe that. It just is. :)

Erin --- 13 years ago -

I believe in both. In my distorted view God created organisms, decided he did not like them the way they were, tweaked them and then boom...evolution. Every time he decided he was not pleased with his work he tweaked it a little more.

Have fun with that one ;)

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

Yeah...gonna have to ask my teenager in Chemistry about the organism thing.

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

Oh freak freak freak....the ORGANISMS thing....OMG...smh.

Where's a MOD when you need a kindly delete or an edit...OMG!

Erin --- 13 years ago -

orgasm thing

??HA!!!!!

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

Not funny.....OMG...*slaps forehead*

Erin --- 13 years ago -

Oh but it is!! I am so LOLing over here. DH just asked what was so funny. He said, "Sure, go ahead and ask your teenage son about orgasms, I would love to hear his response...lol"

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

Oh stop oh stop oh stop....two words that should NEVER be in the same sentence....

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

Keep studying your Bible. That's my take on it. You will discover it for yourself. :)

kj8147 --- 13 years ago -

I beleive comets helped form life on earth. They are made up of water and contain several life building materials. They were crashing down on this earth for billions of years before the bible.
I beleive in history so I do beleive that God and Jesus existed, but I don't beleive they exist in a heavenly form and are looking down on us.
Evolution all the way!

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

So in light of the current season we are in religiously speaking of course, what is your take on Jesus dying on the Cross for our sins?

DJCC --- 13 years ago -

What about life on other planets? :)

The universe is so unfathomably large, I can't help but think there is intelligent life elsewhere.

I've seen estimates of there being 2 billion earth like planets just in our galaxy!

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

What about life on other planets?

What about it? I believe God created all. Very simple. :)

I actually agree with you.

what is your take on Jesus dying on the Cross for our sins?

I believe he was a good and devote man, but I don't believe he was divine. He was a political revolutionary who died for his cause. If you want to view that as 'dying for our sins', that's fine with me. But that's not how I look at it.

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

I'm sure He appreciates that but you are selling Christ and yourself short. He did much much more than that.

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

And continues to do so.

Political power based on a moral code is never going to happen.

RaeRie (Mod) --- 13 years ago -

Political power based on a moral code is never going to happen.

Well, we have to have something to strive for. :)

We do. :)

Yeah but like, did Jesus die an additional time on a cross located on exoplanet Kepler 22-b? :)

And what about all these other religions here on Earth.

This is what happens when you move to a place like 29 palms :) lots of time to think!

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

lol...I will have to get back to you on that but it cracked me up.

I was firm in my beliefs long before I ever landed on this 29 Palms planet lol.

kj8147 --- 13 years ago -

All that did was make him famous.
I don't beleive that man woman or child gets punished for doing wrong from "higher beings" such as God or Jesus or whoever.
I don't beleive in heaven or hell.
People live their life and then they die and are buried or cremated, that's it. I don't beleive anyone gets punished or rewarded for the life they chose to live after they die.

kElJoY --- 13 years ago -

Interesting.

Did you have any religious/spiritual upbringing at all?

I'm just curious how you came to believe these things.
