My Uncle says this at least a half dozen times on every phone conversation we have. I've mentioned his error, but he continues to use it.

It is a peeve of my hubs so in order to deal with it, we jokingly say it to one another.

I also hate when someone uses an elipsis incorrectly.

Years ago when people still did transcription work I had an attorney say on his tape whatever the sentence was he was saying and then said "ellipsis" and of course I typed the word instead of using the dots. Learned my lesson on that one lol. I knew it didn't look right lol.

I recently typed in pole instead of Poll, in regards to a poll on the Underground.

I know the difference but sometimes I type in the wrong spelling of a word. Signs of old age, I guess.
