What "sounds" and "actions" do your animals make when you know they are trying to communicate something to you and you know what they are communicating?
Does that make sense?
Here's an easy one...how does your animal(s) communicate to you that they want to go outside? Or come back inside?
When my dog wants to go outside he'll come up to my husband or myself and put his head on our lap and just stare at us till we say you want to go outside and then he jumps around like crazy and gets all excited.. When hes ready to come back in he nudges at the door handle first and if we don't hear it, he will scratch at the door..
My big dog knows how to let himself in and out of the back door if we don't get up fast enough. He just puts his big nose on the door and butts it to the side lol. Freakin' dog!! The little one can do it too if it is only the screen. I think it is a game for them. RME...obviously that door is heavily locked when we aren't here lol.
My dogs each have different growls too....the little one is the alarm for the big dog - I've figured that much out. He goes and sleeps unless she has certain types of barks. We have lots of different animals come in our yard and she has a different level of growling/barking for each based on size it would appear lol.
lol thats funny.. My dog has a couple different kinds of barks too... Theres this one thats like manly sounding if theres people he doesn't know walking around outside and then theres his playful bark thats kind of reminds me of a little girl barking..all weak and high pitched while the other is all deep and low..lol so funny!
my cat Selena will put her paw on me gently to tell me she wants something or wants some attention ..She does this primarily when I am sitting at my computer.
My GSD tells me. Literally. She sits right by me and talks to me. My other doogen will lay there and stare at me even more intently than usual. And like Shell, if I ask if they need to go outside I get barked at.
I'm always outside with them here. In 29, I knew when they were done because they both stood in front of the door staring at me like they're abused. Apparently being outside for more than 3 minutes is just too much for my prissy puppies.... :)
