anyone use this gym? have ok equipment? I am wanting to start using the gym now but don't really want to go to the other 2 on base. Any input would be great :) thanks, and if you know the hours also!  

They have both ellipticals and treadmills and a few weights. It is a small area but I like going there because they don't mind if I take my daughter. She sits in her stroller and plays while I work out. 

yeah I called to see if they had a little daycare, like the YMCAs back home have, but she told me the kids have to be in a stroller. You know the hours?

LOL Only thing is I have a 9 month old and 3 year old, so not sure how I would do that, if it was open a little later, I could have the hubby watch them. I have been walking 1.5-3 miles each day but need to increase my workout. 

It's open 9 to 9, I believe. And kids do have to be in a stroller or baby carrier. I go there a lot, and I really like it. 

oooh until 9 would be GREAT! It will feel like vacation leaving the kids with hubby while I do something for myself. lol

the majority of them are yes, but I do believe they have some evening classes offered at the other gyms. 

I'd like to start going there, but I don't want to go alone. Anyone out there who wants to go with me? maybe 2 or 3 times a week in the morning? My oldest daugther is in school and I could drop the other ones off at the babysitter for an hour or 2. 

I usually go to the cardio room in the afternoon with my little one, but I can't go in the morning. I'm thinking of scheduling a time for me to drop her off at the CDC so I can go to a class or two during the week. I really want to try kickboxing. 

I really want to try kickboxing I was using the gym while they were doing the kickboxing today, I peeked in and it was too funny. There was about 10 Marines in there taking the class and of course they were all in the back looking at all the girls a$$es 

Yea, I usually go to Zumba and Hip Hop, so I'm accustomed to that. We've had entire basketball teams staring at us from the bleachers before. I've joked that we need to charge them if they're going to stare at us like that.

I haven't been to kickboxing in a few weeks since my PE class with the college is on Tuesdays, the Marine thing must be new. It's usually just packed with women. It's a great class, Ameliea is hard core too. I'll probably go next week. 

i LOOOOVE the community center gym. i feel really comfortable there. im planning on bringing my new baby whenever he comes out. im really really glad theres a gym who is comfortable with kids coming. since i wont have regular child care! 

I was at kickboxing today, it is a good work out, and as far as the Marines, I see it the same way as Rae Rae. Plus she keeps you moving so you dont have time to watch what each other is doing.
